Occupation Specific Language Training (OSLT)
Program Description: Occupation-Specific Language Training (OSLT) courses help newcomers to Canada improve their work-oriented English. The programs are designed for individuals with international education or experience for whom English is a second or additional language.
Focus: Improving workplace communications skills for specific occupations or sectors. OSLT courses focus on the following sectors/occupations:
BUSINESS | Accounting and Finance Personnel; Entrepreneur and Sales/Marketing Personnel; Hospitality Worker; Project Manager (George Brown, Humber, Seneca) |
HEALTH CARE | Dental Hygienist; Medical Radiation Technologist; Nurse; PSW; Sleep Technologist (Seneca, Centennial, George Brown) |
CHILD AND YOUTH WORKER | Early Childhood Education (Seneca) |
TECHNOLOGY | IT Personnel (Seneca) |
Eligibility:
- Permanent Resident or Protected Person
- Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) minimum level 6 to 8
- Relevant education in the field
- Relevant work experience in the field
Cost: Free (funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada)
