Literature Review

The project team conducted a literature review that sought to explore where and how people seek out information about adult education and training options. Research regarding the information practices of immigrants and those of individuals with low literacy levels was reviewed. The researchers also used key learner and assessor surveys to discover how students find their programs.

A comprehensive environmental scan of existing information tools focusing on adult education programs within Toronto and York Region, as well as other jurisdictions, was also carried out and many of these tools are showcased within the document.
