Toolkit Rationale – Taking the Time to Talk
This website acts as a toolkit that helps with the exploration of adult learning options and pathways. It provides handy program information, pathway charts and other helpful tools that will help learners and service providers find useful information for planning next steps. These tools, however, are more useful if they are used as part of a conversation.
The foundation of an informed choice on the part of the learner is grounded in the rich conversation s/he has with a teacher, assessor, caseworker, settlement worker, etc. The "Dialogue is Key" chart that can be accessed below shows how that all-important initial conversation may lead to a greater understanding of the learner/client and relevant next steps – for both the learner and service provider.
